About the Event
Last year in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Association Santa Barbara, we wanted to honor and acknowledge contributions by people living here for a more peaceful world and the Santa Barbara UNA Peace Prize was created. The criteria for the prize were that the nominees live in our community, have achieved demonstrable and measurable progress in creating peace in the world, advancing the cause of human rights internationally, and / or advancing the progress of developing nations.

The United Nations Association of Santa Barbara will award the 2018 Santa Barbara UNA Peace Prize on World Peace Day, Friday, September 21 at a dinner event at the Goleta Hilton Garden Inn. The event starts at 6:00 PM. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available below.
