Human Rights Day with International Educator and Human Rights Activist Joshua Cooper

Joshua will be joining us for a lively discussion on the recent United Nations Human Rights Council review of the United States Human Rights record over the last 5 years.

Fresh from reporting to the UN Human Rights Council last month, Joshua Cooper, Director of the Hawai'i Institute for Human Rights and co-chair of the US Human Rights Network’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Task Force, a national network of campaigners, will update us on what was reported at the UN. He is an expert on the UN system of human rights and an exceptional advocate of human rights nationally and internationally with both NGOs and governments, and frequently engaged in meetings and teaching around the globe.
